1. Our Roles and Ministry
We have been handed the trust to equip the kids of CHC to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ. We want to see each student experience real community through their small group. We also disciple kids one-on-one (like when someone in your group becomes a Christian or is a potential leader). We rely heavily on our leaders and helpers to help reach students and carry out the ministry. You are so vital! We ask leaders to come early to our regularly scheduled services to get to know the kids. We also have events throughout the year that we ask our adults to help with. This ministry is an investment, whether you are; a Small group leader, doing security, band leader, kitchen staff, or set-up/tear down crew. Events - We do large group and small group events throughout the year that fall under at least one of the 5 purposes of the church. Magnification (worship), Maturity (discipleship), Membership (fellowship), Ministry (service projects), Missions (Matthew 28:18-20). Anything and Everything we do must be a reflection of our purposes. I believe we can meet these purposes and have a blast doing it!
2. Our Values
Life Change: To see people’s lives transformed as they are impacted by the power of God.
Relationships: Making Disciples and friends.
“We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.” 1Thessalonians 2:8.
Small Group Leaders: A crucial role each adult small group leader plays is that of “spiritual fathers and mothers."
“For even if you had ten thousand others to teach you about Christ, you have only one spiritual father. For I became your father in Christ Jesus when I preached the Good News to you. So I ask you to follow my example and do as I do.” I Corinthians 4:15-16
Bible Truth: “Strong biblical life-application teaching.”
“Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.” 1 Timothy 4:16.
Worship: To see students become passionate worshippers of Jesus in their daily lives. John 12:3, Luke 10:39
Deliberate Action: A purpose in EVERTHING we do. Using EVERYTHING we do to see lives changed.
Quality Events: Everything we do needs to shout, “I gotta be a part of that!” for the glory of God!
SGLIAPW: Showing God’s Love in A Practical Way (service projects). This is an incredible impacting way to minister to
people and spread the Gospel.
Global Impact: What we do should have the planet in mind. Seeing missionaries, pastors, teachers (Bible), and evangelists called into full-time ministry, as well as leading people to live their lives on mission with God. Reaching exchange students and people of color.
“Ask of Me and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.” Psalm 2:8
Ministry To The Whole Family: Encouraging parents and strengthening family relationships.
Continuity In Our Leadership: “No man is an Island...Our Leadership meetings are crucial!
